I am now going to be using the mortonict.wordpress.com site for our class instruction.

I see that most people are getting very close to finishing up. You will be evaluating each other soon. There are so many wonderfully fun projects that we’ll be doing. The next one I have not done in a while, but I see a few people would like to try it…plus it is a nice introductory to animation. I will demonstrate PIVOT and you’ll be creating a short pivot animation with a message for

a. the ELEMENTARY students of Salmo. That’s right, we’re going to think of important messages for the little ones…funny is good, no blood, drugs, or sex.

b. a PRESENTATION for one of your current classes…as a teacher if you can do a project on a certain topic that ties into one of your classes and go for it…maybe you’ll be able to "hit" two birds with one "pivot stone".

c. a COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT idea that you wish to do…requires a small paragraph application request to Mr. Morton before proceeding ahead.  

Has anyone used Pivot before? We’ll have to download some of the extras that go all with it.

When do you want me to show you some of the ins and outs?

Excellent Efforts! Some people are finishing the check list…so if you are behind push yourself to catch up and ask for a little help from me, Jackie, Ms. Bakken, or someone that is looking finished.

If you are finished remember to copy and paste the Blog Evaluation Form into a post on your blog. Then give the person below you some warning and check to see if they are ready for you to begin some peer assessment.

If you are waiting for them to finish then you should ask Jackie if she would like some help on the new up and coming Weekly SSS News Flash??? We need a nice back drop made…who’s the artist?

The double block doesn’t seem long when it is split up…but for the most part a productive class. Now remember how important participation is…you get marks for comments, bonuses when you discover things great for learning, and you can also receive red marks in my book when you are totally off task, not doing anything for the days assignment. Got it? (Say "got it" if you read all that and agree)

Now for your second mark…watch the video I posted on my other blog (which slowly but surely will become my main blog) and put a comment in reference to what you just watched.

did you forget the address of my other blog? it should be linked to your blog by now. 

Your blogs are coming along, soon you’ll be answering some questions about computers and either posting them or linking them as a page under your Assignments Category.

But first I would like you to take a moment to reflect.

Life is about choices. Two years ago I made the choice to go to the island in the video below.

Will your education help you get there?

I was definitely impressed with yesterday’s efforts. Keep it up today. This is a class of participation mixed with skill…more participation will lead to more SKILL!!

The only comment I want for today is what do you need help with???

For the most part everyone was progressing along nicely.

You will only get out what you PUT IN to this course.

I could slow everyone down and have you off the computers, watching me with the projector at the front…or I could have you doing what you are doing which is learning by trying, experimenting, and discovering.

Tell me for two marks if you feel that you were not a slacker and if you would rather have me using the projector more and guiding you through it all?

Remember to check the criteria and basically check off each of the 20 requirements as you go along.

Welcome back from a fine weekend I hope.

As I wandered around last class I was impressed with the amount of investigation and discovery that was going on. As this is new for me I was learning new tricks from many of you.

Today I want you to continue developing your blog…this will the site that all your work is uploaded to, marked, and in the future it could be used for your GRAD PORTFOLIO!! That’s right, killing two birds with one stone right here in Morton’s ICT.

For an extra mark today I would like you to leave a comment with the address of your new wordpress site. Remember to follow the criteria in developing your blog.

Hello again Everyone!

Most of you answered yesterday’s questions properly, however, few people should go back to yesterday’s post and make sure they answered the three questions correctly and completely.

I was surprised that we could no longer join blogsome and I apologize for not being able to find some of last year’s projects.

So we will all be working with something new: WORDPRESS…a newer, and perhaps better site…if we do not have to pay for it.

So to begin you should click on this link to see what I want on your new wordpress BLOG. This may take you at least three classes…especially since it is new for me to!

So…for your first mark leave a comment by clicking on comment below this post and tell me if you would like to see some of the most successful projects from last year?

Of course there will be some new ones and there will be some that are less exciting but nonetheless important BUT I do want you to play an active role in YOUR EDUCATION…

So…for your second mark tell me what you are most interested in doing in computers (checking facebook does not count) and give me any new suggestions you may have.

If there was ever a time to focus in the year it would be the next two weekends. Sacrifice a few fun nights for study nights and the rewards will be forever engraved into your TRANSCRIPT!
